The dialogue focused on three main areas of concern for the TTNNA, which were staffing, training and working conditions. Both parties agreed to a shared commitment to create strategies to improve healthcare delivery, with the well-being of both the patient and the healthcare worker.

Bodoe stated, “Our nurses are the backbone of the public healthcare system and it is only through open, respectful dialogue can we meaningfully address their challenges. I value the input of the TTNNA and remain committed to working collaboratively to ensure that both our healthcare professionals and our patients are supported by a system that is strong, fair and responsive.”
