2025 General Election Results – All Constituencies

THE Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has released the detailed preliminary results of the 2025 general election.

The results were released on Wednesday, two days after the general election on Monday in 41 constituencies across Trinidad and Tobago.
The release of the results also follows the requests for recounts in three constituencies by the United National Congress (UNC).
According to the EBC, voter turnout was at 53.92% with the total number of the electorate being 1,153,876. The number of ballots counted and applied was 622,181. There was a total of 2,001 rejected ballots.

The winning United National Congress (UNC) received 335,165 votes in addition to the Progressive Empowerment Party (PEP) – 9,379, the Congress of the People (COP) – 6,481, parties that formed part of their Coalition of Interests.
The defeated PNM garnered 224,414.
The Patriotic Front has emerged as a third force with 21,221 votes having contested 37 seats.
General election, 2025 saw 17 political parties contesting and 161 candidates filing nomination papers.
Tobago West was the most highly contested constituency with nine candidates representing that district.

Three constituencies had six candidates to choose from: San Fernando West, Port of Spain South and Diego Martin North East.
Seven constituencies had five candidates to choose from, another seven had four candidates to choose from and the rest three.
The constituency with the highest voter turnout at 65.38% was the marginal seat of Moruga/Tableland with the the UNC candidate in Chaguanas West Dr Neil Gosine attaining the most votes – 16,013
The constituency with the lowest voter turnout was Laventille  West with 35.20%.

In three constituencies, although the PNM could boast of a win, the margins were less than 700 in what would have been PNM designated areas: Arima – a margin of 699, Arouca/Lopinot – a margin of 262, Malabar/Mausica – a margin of 262 and San Fernando East – a difference of 669 to secure a PNM win.
For the UNC, they were able to garner enough votes to win the Point Fortin and La Brea PNM strongholds, but again by a small margin.
For La Brea – there was a difference of 739 to ensure a UNC win and for Point Fortin, the UNC received 784 more votes than the PNM.
