POLITICAL activist Phillip Edward Alexander is calling on the opponents of the United National Congress (UNC) and its Coalition of Interest to reflect on the consequences of their actions.
In a post to his Facebook page on Monday, Alexander said while the party intends to be gracious in its win, the election has exposed hard lessons for those who sought to undermine UNC leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
He said, “We of course intend to be gracious in our victory, but there are lessons from this election that many would do well to learn.”
He singled out individuals who he claimed attempted to strong-arm or extort Persad-Bissessar, crossed the political floor in efforts to embarrass her or aligned with opponents out of spite and “insidious agendas.”
Alexander said, “Those who stepped out to disrespect her and those that funded all of it, the most valuable math you can learn is how to calculate the future cost of your current decisions.”
