CHUTNEY Soca Monarch 2025 is promising to be epic.
Patrons are advised to get to the venue early to enjoy the star-studded event at its usual spot Skinner Park San Fernando tonight (Saturday March 1, 2025). And it’s free.
All seemed to be ready for the Chutney Soca Monarch finals dubbed the CSM 30th Anniversary Show when AZP News visited the venue on Saturday afternoon.
The grand stage was set up, tents and not forgetting the bar.
Krishendath Narinesingh, whose company is heading the night’s production systems, said he is expecting one of the largest turnouts at the park.
He said, “We are looking at having a huge turnout because today is going to be a real success and we ready for that.”
“We are ready to give the world a great show tonight,” Narinesingh said.

He said preparations began since last Wednesday to have everything ready for Saturday night.
He said, “Come early, because we are unsure if you might get a space here. Chutney is going to have a bang. Thirty years. Chutney is way beyond 30 years but Chutney Soca Monarch 2025 is going to be a great, great success.”
Saturday’s show features the battle between two kings in the music industry, soca king Machel Montano for the first time and chutney king Rikki Jai.
They are among 14 competing for the prestigious title in the hope to dethrone defending champion Rick Ramoutar.

Apart from the competitors, patrons will also be treated to performances by Karma and Savita Singh with full band.
The event that is free to the public will be streamed live from the Southex Events Channel on You Tube from 9pm.
No coolers are allowed.
