A criminal disguised as Santa Claus led a robbery in Mon Repos, San Fernando, on Monday morning.

Around 9.15 am, the manager and three employees of Automotive and Industrial Supplies Limited, located on Jones Street, were confronted by three masked men.

One of the robbers wore a grey jersey, blue jeans, a red Santa hat, and a fake beard, while another was armed with a firearm.

The assailants stormed the business, brandishing their weapons and announcing their intentions to rob. They tied up the victims with duct tape before making off with an array of stolen goods, including cell phones, jewellery, and company products. The robbers also seized a company vehicle—an Isuzu two-tonne truck valued at $150,000—loaded with thousands of dollars worth of automotive paints and supplies.

After the criminals fled, the victims managed to free themselves and alerted the authorities.

Officers from the Mon Repos Police Station, including PCs Moses and Khan, responded with the Southern Division Gang Unit. They found the two of the stolen cell phones in a nearby bushy area on Cooper Grange Street.
