Mento is a significant 50/50 joint venture between EOG Resources Trinidad Limited and bpTT, with EOG serving as the operator.

During the tour, Young was joined by George Vieira, Managing Director of EOG; David Campbell, President of bpTT; and Javed Mohammed, General Manager of TOFCO.

The Mento platform, a 12-slot, manned facility, will be situated in a jointly licensed area off Trinidad’s southeast coast. It is expected to start producing gas in 2025.

This development is part of a series of collaborations between bpTT and EOG, following successful projects such as EMZ in 2011, Sercan in 2016, and Banyan in 2017, the release stated.

The two companies have also announced a partnership for the upcoming Coconut gas development under a similar joint venture framework.
