AN earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 was recorded by The University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre on Tuesday.
The quake’s epicenter was located at a latitude of 11.13N and a longitude of 61.94W, with a depth of 10 kilometres at 4.57 am.
The tremor was felt in several nearby cities, including Port of Spain, approximately 70km to the northwest, and Arima, located about 91km northwest of the epicentre.
Residents of St George’s, Grenada, also reported feeling the earthquake, which lies roughly 104 km to the south-southwest of the quake’s centre.
This if the fifth earthquake to be felt in Trinidad and Tobago in the past two weeks.
That is a very active zone.
