A gunman walked into the Port-of-Spain General Hospital around 8.45 p.m. on Tuesday and shot a patient who was in Ward 3 of the facility.
Patients said they heard about ten shots.

Police said Dejean Broker, of Hill View, Laventille, was warded for stab wounds and was fatally shot in his bed.
Witnesses said the gunman was dressed in a white coverall similar to that worn by crime-scene investigators.

Police have cordoned off the area and some patients told AZPNews they were traumatised by the incident.
