A 50-year-old Barataria man has been granted bail after he took $20,000 as a downpayment for the construction of a two-bedroom apartment that he never started.
Lester Herrera was granted bail by Justice of the Peace Stephen Young on Thursday, after he was arrested and charged with fraudulent conversion.
He is expected to appear at the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court on March 31, 2023.
