FIRE and police officers were busy cleaning up debris off the Solomon Hochoy Highway on the southbound lane just before the Claxton Bay flyover on Thursday.
It was the third day of protests in the area by members of the scrap iron industry who are against a six months ban on the export of materials from the industry.
Traffic came to a standstill as fire officers along with police had to clean up the debris just before 12 noon on Thursday.
Debris was also strewn about along the Southern Main Road and Cedar Hill over the past two days.
