A 52-year-old Diego Martin man has been charged for sexually touching a child.
He was granted $75,000 bail with a surety by Justice of the Peace Boodoo on Monday.
The charge was laid on Sunday following an incident that allegedly occurred on July 22, a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Tuesday stated.
According to police reports, a 14-year-old girl was conversing with a male relative in a bedroom at her residence regarding a medical issue. As the conversation ended, the man allegedly touched her inappropriately as she walked off.
Investigations were conducted by WPC Kerr and supervised by Supt Claire Guy-Alleyne, ASP Theodore Persad, Insp Simmons, and Sgt James.
The man is scheduled to appear at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
