SINCE the first case of Covid-19 was reported in Trinidad and Tobago on March 12, 2020, more than 150,000 people have now tested positive for the coronavirus.
And for the second time this year, no Covid-19 deaths were reported in a single day on Friday. The total number of positive Covid-19 cases reported was now 150,481.
The total number of active positive cases has crossed 8,700.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1,081) reported 531 new positive Covid-19 cases.
The ministry also stated that 151, 458 boosters have been administered while 50.8% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,797 or 81.6%, while 3,343 or 18.4% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to May 4, 2022.

February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March: 122 deaths, 10,093 cases
April: 75 deaths, 9,622 cases
May 1: 2 deaths, 468 cases;
May 2: 2 deaths, 295 cases;
May 3: 5 deaths, 347 cases;
May 4: 5 deaths, 555 cases;
May 5: 2 deaths, 418 cases;
May 6: 0 deaths, 531 cases.
