AN investigation has been launched by the Ministry of Health into claims by two persons that they suffered adverse effects after taking the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.
Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh in Parliament on Friday confirmed the investigation was ongoing.
He said, “Two lines of enquiry are currently being pursued. One we are checking our vaccine databases to see if those persons were in fact vaccinated. Once that is determined, the information will be sent to the Chief Medical Officer for a clinical review. We are also reviewing the RHA system to see if these persons presented to any of our facilities. We are happy to get to the bottom of this issue.”
Deyalsingh was questioned about the investigation based on information shared by the individuals at a press conference hosted by NATUC earlier this week.
The minister added that if the claims were true all medical protocols will be followed and the appropriate treatment plan will be implemented.
