THE year 2021 ends with December being the deadliest month as it relates to Covid-19.
In the last month of the year, 711 people died from a Covid-19 related death.
On Friday, 19 more people passed away, the Ministry of Health reported in its latest update #955.
The highest daily number of deaths was also reported in December with 37 people dying on Christmas Eve.
November reported the second-highest number of deaths with 462 and June reported the third-highest number-352. In March, the least number of deaths was reported – three.
The total number of deaths for 2021 is 2,745. Last year, the total was 124.
The total Covid-19 related death figure since the first Covid-19 case was recorded in March 2020 is now 2, 869.
The ministry also reported 579 new cases taken from samples during the period December 27 to December 30.
