AZP News sought the wishes of some for Christmas 2021. Below is what we got:

The Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association (TTRNA) extends Christmas and New Year’s greetings to the nation of Trinidad and Tobago. It is our hope and prayer that this country can heal and recover from the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The nurses and midwives of T&T would like for Christmas a cure for Covid 19 and the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, families in need and who lost their income as result of this pandemic to regain financial stability, for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to truly see the value of nursing and midwifery personnel, that we have families and loved ones and we need job security and stability and most of all we want peace and Goodwill to all people and all nations.
Arrive Alive:
Our Christmas wish at Arrive Alive is for all road users to be responsible on the roads considering, not only their own safety, but that of others.
We want the authorities to act responsibly by planning and implementing road maintenance and upgrades promptly to minimise as many inconveniences and risks to road users.
We want everyone to be selfless and safe and enjoy this season of giving to all.
Dr Brian Armour, chief executive officer of the South West Regional Health Authority:
I really want people to have a safe Christmas and enjoy it but safely so that we can all go into the next year. From my family and I and the SWRHA, we really want to tell everybody all the best for the season. We at South West will continue to do what we can do to be part of the national fight. Nobody should despair, everybody should try to give a lot of hope at this time and just remember the reason for the season.

In addition to food, shelter and health for all, my wish for this Christmas is for people to experience the peace that comes from God. This has been a difficult year, filled with losses and hurts. Wishing folks a blessed and merry Christmas is normally shared during this special season as a gesture of harmonious affection. This Christmas 2021 is indeed a far cry from that. The coronavirus is the headliner globally and continues to worm its way looking for “Did I pass here?” and proceeded to make sure it left its mark.
This Christmas it is imperative that we realise the seriousness of this virus and its ability to subtract our existence from our loved ones and if that statement does not register then, in other words, I just don’t comprehend this logic. The greatest gift you can give yourself is the understanding and realisation of common sense and doing what is necessary for you and yours. Merry Christmas.
