Thursday’s Weather: Hazy Conditions, Chance of Heavy Showers

THE hazardous seas alert remains in effect for Trinidad and Tobago but the adverse weather alert has been discontinued.

Forecast: Generally sunny and hazy conditions with occasional showery interruptions in a few areas. There is a 40% to 70% (medium to high) chance of heavy afternoon showers or isolated thunderstorm activity, especially favoring parts of Trinidad. Mostly fair night despite one or two showers in a few areas.

The Leewards: Partly cloudy/cloudy with periods of showers/rain and isolated thunderstorm activity in some areas. Partly cloudy night with few lingering showers.

The Windwards Islands: Mostly sunny with mild haze and few brief showers. Mostly fair night.

Caution: Gusty winds and street/flash flooding may occur in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
