THE Hindu festival of Divali will be celebrated on November 4 this year.
President Paula-Mae Weekes has appointed the date as the public holiday for Trinidad and Tobago.
In a legal notice dated October 5, the President stated, “It is hereby notified that I, Paula-Mae Weekes, ORTT, President acting in accordance with the provisions of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, have appointed Thursday 4th November, 2021 as the date of the public holiday in celebration of the festival of Divali.”
