ROAD rehabilitation works will commence on Thursday along the Naparima Mayaro Road.
The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) in a press release on Tuesday stated that that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Naparima Mayaro Road, 35.5 km mark to 49.3 km mark (between Lazzari Road and Country Side Bar) to facilitate road strengthening and paving.
Works will be conducted on Thursday (September 30) to Thursday (October 14) between the hours of 9.30pm to 3am.
Motorists are advised to proceed with extreme caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, follow instructions from police officers on-site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic, be cautious of heavy equipment entering and exiting the work zone an motorists should drive with caution at reduced speed on approaching the work zone and all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces.
The Ministry stated that any inconvenience caused was regretted and thanked the public for its cooperation.
