ANOTHER members of the Police Service Commission (PolSC) has resigned on Saturday.
Dr Susan Craig-James is the second member of the PolSC to resign in less than a week. On Tuesday Courtney A McNish tendered his resignation to President Paula-Mae Weekes.
It means that the commission now stands inquorate with only its chairman Bliss Seepersad and attorney Roger Kawalsingh left as commissioners. Three commissioners form a quorum.
A release from the Office of the President on Saturday stated the President will “make every effort” to fill the two recent vaccines.
It stated:
Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has today accepted the resignation of Dr. Susan Craig-James as a Member of the Police Service Commission with effect from September 24, 2021.
The Commission now stands inquorate, as the only remaining Members are the Chairman, Ms. Bliss Seepersad and Mr. Roger Kawalsingh. There is a notification which is with Parliament at this time and the Office of the President will make every effort to fill the two recent vacancies at the soonest.
