THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued a Hazardous Sea Alert Yellow Level effective Friday (Sep 24) 4 am to Monday (Sep 27) at 11 am.
TTMS is forecasting northerly high energy swells to impact northern and western nearshore coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago.
It stated, “These swells can result in high surfs and occasional battering waves.”
The public is advised to monitor sea conditions and exercise caution in nearshore areas. In addition, they should be cautious of large waves in the area of interest and adhere to the instructions of lifeguards.
