A 26-YEAR-OLD fisherman from Las Cuevas was shot dead on Monday night.
Police reported that around 7.40pm, Isaiah Clement was at his home at School Street, watching television when two masked men entered the front door dressed in camouflage clothing both armed with firearms.
They opened fire on Clement hitting him multiple times about his head and body. Clement then slumped on the chair in a crouched position clad in a khaki three-quarter pants and a grey jersey.
The District Medical Officer visited the scene and ordered the removal of the body.
Officers of the Homicide Region 2 processed the scene with the assistance of CSI personnel and recovered a total of 29 spent shells, nine 9mm shells, three 40 calibre, 17 7.62 shells, seven projectiles being two 7.62 calibre.
Quarry Operator crashes into lightpole
Police reports are that around 9.40pm on Monday, a silver Nissan Primera collided with T&TEC LP #61 along the Old Valencia Road causing fatal injuries to the driver who was the lone occupant.
The vehicle proceeding in a westerly direction was being driven by Jason Ramdhan, a quarry operator who resides at Sand Quarry Road, Valencia and Williams Trace Extension, Sangre Grande.
The driver who was speeding lost control of the vehicle colliding with the light pole causing fatal head injuries to himself, minor damage to the T&TEC post and severe damage to the vehicle.
