FOR the second time this week, a body was found floating near Sea Lots in Port-of-Spain.
The body of Shipmoy Allison Wong,62, was found at around 7am on Saturday.
Police reported that around 7pm on Friday, Wong, Beetham Highway, Sea Lots, was in company with a male friend at Concession Drive, Sea Lots and apparently consumed an unknown amount of alcohol.
At around 12am on Saturday, she took a sea bath unsupervised in an area on the western side of the friend’s home.
A check was made for her shortly afterwards however she was not seen and then at around 7am her body was observed floating in the area she went bathing.
The body was eventually towed to the shoreline. There were no apparent marks of violence.
Asp Bhagwandeen, Insp Rajkumar and Ag Sgt Matthew visited the scene along with District Medical Officer Dr Nwafor.
Also visiting the scene were CSI personnel including PC Sammy and PC Ramoutar and were personnel of the Homicide Region 1 Bureau. Enquires are continuing by the Besson Street Police Station.
On Wednesday another body was found off Sea Lots.
