The other mixed dose of vaccine being accepted by the Government is first dose AstraZeneca and second dose Pfizer which was approved on June 15.

The announcement by the ministry comes after  a  video of a Canadian went viral after he returned to Canada because he did not have the approved vaccine mix.

The Ministry of Health reminded the public that it will continue to administer only WHO approved vaccines which includes the Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Sinopharm and the  SinovacCoronaVac.

Presently, the AstraZeneca and the Sinopharm are being administered to the population.

The ministry stated, “The public is reminded that a person is considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the final recommended vaccine dose(s) of a WHO-approved vaccine or vaccine combination as indicated above.”
