TOBAGONIANS in home isolation for Covid-19 are breaking quarantine and roaming the streets.
This according to Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) acting General Manager of Primary Care Services Dr Roxanne Mitchell during a virtual presser of the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) on Friday.
Dr Mitchell said, “We are getting reports of persons being out on the street, persons roaming. TTPS has been notified of some of these cases, but you are to stay at home.”
She said that clinical monitor contacted patients daily not only assess their clinical situation but also with social, psychological, and assistance such as providing with groceries, mental health check-ups and medication.
Dr Mitchell said people in home quarantine needed to ensure that they were within a well-ventilated area, to wear masks, washing hands and that they were sanitising regularly with bleach and water.
