FOOD outlets will be allowed to open again but only for takeaway, drive-through service and curbside pick-up from July 19.
This was announced by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley speaking at a press conference at the Diplomatic Centre in St Ann’s on Saturday.
He said people will also be allowed from July 19 to exercise in public but must not exceed groups of five and masks must be worn. Team sports were still prohibited.
The prime minister also said that all manufacturing will be opened again from Monday (July 12).
Dr Rowley said car dealerships will also be allowed to open their doors from Monday (July 12).
He made the announcement as health officials noted a decreasing trend in Covid-19 cases and a drop in admissions at hospitals for the coronavirus.
Dr Rowley also announced that Trinidad and Tobago will receive 800,000 Sinopharm vaccines from China on Tuesday.
