Cancer Drugs Stolen from St James Medical Complex

MORE than 15 different types of drugs used in the treatment of cancer have been stolen from the St James Medical Complex.

On Monday a release from the North-West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) that an investigation has been launched  and  the public is  asked to contact the TTPS or NWRHA if anyone was found selling those specific drugs.

These include Succiny, Choline, Bevacizumab 100 and 400, Bleomycin, Cetuximab, Traztuzumab 400 and 600, Tocilizumab, Docetaxel, Cyclophosphamide, Insulin, Oxytocin, Rituximab, Fluvestrant and Epirubacin. The items were discovered missing on Monday.

The NWRHA stated, “Members of the public are asked to be on high alert and to kindly contact the TTPS or the NWRHA directly at 493-1838 should anyone try to solicit sales for the above-mentioned drugs. The batch numbers for these items will be provided in a subsequent advisory.”
