A Mason Hall resident has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Jason Sebro.
This according to a release from Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Saturday.
Hurbert Guy, 59, of Old Farmers Trace, Jiggers Hill, Mason Hall, and Falcon Drive, Sou Sou Lands, Tobago was charged by PC Price of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) in Tobago following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard SC.
On June 26, Sebro was fatally chopped while going to the assistance of his mother during an altercation involving a relative, TTPS stated.
However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the suspect was arrested at the scene.
Guy was later charged on July 2, after an audience with DPP Roger Gaspard led by Legal Officer Inspector Mongroo, the release stated..
Investigations leading to the arrest were supervised by Inspector Lynch and Sergeant Joefield, all attached to the HBI.
