Cristiano Ronaldo became the more prolific European championship goal scorer in history with his 10th and 11th goals in the championship. He surpassed Michel Platini who has nine goals but all in one tournament.
He is also the only player to appear in five European Championships.
Ronaldo’s first European goal was way back in 2004 against Greece and he also became the only player in Europe to score in five consecutive championships.

I had said that it would be a tough game and I also said that Portugal would have triumphed. What a wonderful game and he could have had a hat-trick had he scored a sitter in the first half.
In a matter of ten minutes Portugal were able to score three goals after struggling for 82 minutes. Guerreiro started it of in the 84th and Ronaldo scored a penalty in the 87th and followed with well worked one-two goal in the 92nd.
Germany lose to an own goal in a disappointing match up

What should have been a classic and a mouth-watering affair turned out to be a disappointment and one of the worse matches in the tournament so far. France were contented to defend after going ahead on an own goal by Hummels in the 20th. The goal gave France security and it was a closed shop after that event.
To be fair, when France attacked they were very good and had the ball in the net twice but they were off sides. Germany attacked relentlessly looking for the equaliser with 62% possession and 692 passes but none found the net. Even though they had ten shots at goal only one was on target.
Make no mistake this is an exceptional French team and they did not have to turn up a gear but be sure they have several more for later in the tournament.
Germany are now aware that they cannot afford another defeat and will have to go all guns blazing in their next two matches and one of those is against Portugal.

In this meeting of the underdogs I will give the advantage to Russia on home soil. They will win this game 2-0. Finland were lucky to win the game against Denmark. a game that should not have continued. Their luck runs out tomorrow.
Turkey vs Wales 16/06/21 12 pm

The home advantage for Turkey will prove too much for Wales who did not make use of their game at home. Turkey gave a spirited display against Italy. So expect Turkey to have a tough game but they will win.
Italy vs Switzerland
Predicted score: 2-0 Italy

I expect Switzerland to come out fighting but it will not be enough against this very impressive Italian side. The Italians so far have looked the most complete side and I expect that to continue tomorrow. It will be an entertaining game but Italy is just too strong for the Swiss team.
