ON the last day of May 2021, there were 16 deaths due to Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago. This means that for this month, 326 deaths due to coronavirus were recorded making it the deadliest one since the pandemic began last year.
In its latest update (#741), the Ministry of Health stated that the death toll due to Covid-19 was now 495.
The ministry also reported 271 new cases on Monday taken during the period May 22 to May 30.
Therefore, the number of new cases reported for May was 13,085.
