EIGHT persons die as a result of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

This according to the latest update (#827) from the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

The ministry also reported that 25 people have taken the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines as at 4pm. Rollout of these vaccines started today.

It noted 194 new Covid-19 cases taken from samples during the period August 21 to 24.

Additionally, overall active cases have dropped below 5,000.
