SIX people are arrested on Wednesday for breaching the new Covid-19 Public Health Regulations.
Seventy-seven people were also arrested for not wearing masks.
And during an exercise in the Eastern Division between 6 am on Wednesday and 6 am on Thursday officers also arrested six people aged 27 to 45 at Matura Beach, Salybia.
An additional 23 tickets were also issued for failure to wear face masks within the Eastern, Central, Northern, North-Eastern and Port-of-Spain Divisions, a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service stated on Friday.
In a separate incident between 6 am on April 22 and 6 am April 23, officers also issued 54 tickets within the Eastern, Central, and Northern Divisions; however, no arrests were made for breaches of the regulations.
The TTPS is urging citizens to adhere to the public health regulations and welcomes any information on possible breaches.
