The DMRC stated that its Disaster Management Unit, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government along with relevant ministries and state agencies, responded to the incident.

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government confirmed that Goodwood Gardens, Diego Martin, L’Anse Mitan Rd, Carenage, Raphael Terrace, Petit Valley, off Morne Coco Road, had all experienced flooding.

Videos circulated on social media show the Glencoe River breaking its banks and making parts of La Horquette Valley Road impassible.

Speaking with AZP last night Councillor for Glencoe/Goodwood La Puerta Amber Caines said the Corporation was still receiving reports of landslides in the La Puerta area.

She said a retaining wall at the La Horquette Road, Community Grounds in Glencoe had failed, causing a minor landslip.

Caines said clean-up efforts were underway.

Flooding was also reported along Saddle Road, Maraval.
