500,000 People Tested for Covid-19 in T&T

SINCE the Covid-19 pandemic started last year, more than half a million people in Trinidad and Tobago have been tested for the coronavirus.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Health on Christmas Day. It also reported 20 more Covid-19 deaths and 420 new cases taken from samples during the period December 21 to 24.

While 70,045 patients have recovered, the ministry reported that 500,624 people have been tested. Out of that number 89,364 have been positive.

Total persons vaccinated with 1st dose of a Two Dose Regime: 659, 477

Total persons vaccinated with 2nd dose of a Two Dose Regime: 616,778

Total persons vaccinated with a Single Dose Regime: 47,921

Total persons with a Completed Vaccination Regime: 664,699  

Total persons with Additional Primary Dose and Booster: 66,679 

Percentage of patients in the parallel healthcare system who are not fully vaccinated: 87. 5%, 8,156 out of 9,321 based on data from July 22, 2021 to December 8, 2021
