FOR the inauguration ceremony of Christine Kangaloo as Trinidad and Tobago’s seventh president, 500 invitations are being issued to members of the public.
The invitations available from today (Monday March 13, 2023) are being given on a first-come, first serve basis.
A statement from the Office of the President stated that the invitations would be available at five locations at Shaw Park Cultural Complex, Shaw Park, Tobago, the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) Port of Spain, Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA), San Fernando, Arima Borough Corporation head office and Xtra Foods Plaza, O’Meara Road, Arima.
The inauguration takes place on March 20 at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain.
Kangaloo will become the country’s second female president after Paula-Mae Weekes.
