ANOTHER five persons died of Covid-19 on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1,079) reported 555 new positive Covid-19 cases.
The five deaths included:
- Three elderly men;
- One middle-aged woman; and
- One middle-aged man.
Three out of five persons had multiple comorbidities while two had no known comorbidities.
The ministry also stated that 151, 124 boosters have been administered while 50.8% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,797 or 81.6%, while 3,343 or 18.4% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to May 4, 2022.

January: 535 deaths, 19, 650 cases
February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March: 122 deaths, 10,093 cases
April: 75 deaths, 9,622 cases
May 1: 2 deaths, 468 cases;
May 2: 2 deaths, 295 cases;
May 3: 5 deaths, 347 cases;
May 4: 5 deaths, 555 cases
