ARANGUEZ – POLICE fatally shoot four bandits after they rob a family of cash and valuables in lower Aranguez on Sunday morning.
Reports state that four men invaded a house on Rambhaju Trace just before 1.30 a.m. on Sunday.
After robbing the family, the bandits made away with cash, cellphones, jewellery and other valuables.
Police were alerted and intercepted a vehicle nearby at Samaroo Street.
The occupants of the car opened fire and police returned fire.
Four men were killed.
Officers recovered all the stole items in the vehicle along with two firearms and 19 rounds of ammunition.
Police held two other suspects in another vehicle while one other man escaped.
Investigations are continuing.
