STATE of Emergency (SoE) operations conducted by the Southern Division have resulted in the arrest of four men and the seizure of a revolver and 20 rounds of ammunition.

In a release on Wednesday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the arrests and seizures were part of SoE operations carried out by the Southern Division in the Pleasantville and Debe districts on Tuesday.

The release stated in the first exercise officers attached to the San Fernando Police Department and Criminal Investigations Department were on patrol around 2:45pm on Tuesday, when they received information that prompted them to investigate a house in Pleasantville.

Officers conducted a search of the residence and discovered 15 rounds of ammunition inside of a juice bottle.

Three male suspects who were in the house at the time were arrested in connection with the find.

In Debe, the release stated, officers arrested a 41-year-old San Fernando man around 6pm for possession of one revolver loaded with five rounds of ammunition.

Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
