THREE more people have died from Covid-19 on Thursday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1,052) reported 198 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 147,101 boosters have been administered while 50.7% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The three deaths include:
- 1 elderly man;
- 1 elderly woman; and
- 1 middle-aged woman.
All of whom had multiple comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, renal disease and neurological disease.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,396 or 82.1%, while 3,130 or 17.9% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021 to April 6, 2022.

February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March: 122 deaths, 10,000 cases
April 1: 4 deaths, 299 cases;
April 2: 2 deaths, 266 cases;
April 3: 5 deaths, 230 cases;
April 4: 2 deaths, 138 cases;
April 5: 3 deaths, 321 cases;
April 6: 4 deaths, 283 cases;
April 7: 3 deaths, 198 cases.
