AN earthquake was felt during the wee hours of Thursday in Trinidad and Tobago and parts of Grenada.
The University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre issued an automatic earthquake location at 1.08 am on Thursday.
UWI stated the earthquake was felt at 11.04 pm on Wednesday and measured a magnitude of 3.8 with a latitude of 11.90N, longitude of 61.80W and depth of 28km.
It was felt in St George’s Grenada, Port of Spain and Scarborough.
Last Sunday, two earthquakes were felt.
The larger measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale was felt at 8.41 pm in Trinidad and Venezuela. That one also measured a latitude of 10.96N, longitude of 62.23W and depth of 31 km.
Then at 10.08 pm, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in areas of Port of Spain, Arima and San Fernando.
To date, for the month of May, Trinidad and Tobago experienced four earthquakes out of the eight earthquakes recorded by the UWI Seismic Centre.
