WHILE Trinidad and Tobago waited for the passage of Hurricane Beryl, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded 98 km West of Port of Spain on Sunday night.
The University of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre reported the earthquake occurred around 11.58 pm.
It was located at latitude -10.79N, longitude, 62.39W and a depth of 53 km.
The tremor was also felt 119 km NorthWest of San Fernando, and 94 km East of Carúpano, Venezuela.
Meanwhile, Trinidad remained under a Tropical Storm Warning- Orange Level and while Tobago under a Hurricane Warning -Red Level.
Most of these earthquakes are taking place in the area where the POTENTIAL Natural Gas pipeline will be passing from the Venezuelan Dragon Gas Field to SHELL platform in Trinidad. Something to be concerned about
