POLICE have charged two prisoners under the Anti-Gang Act.
In a release on Tuesday, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that it has struck a major blow against crime in Tobago, as two key suspects who are incarcerated prisoners were charged under the Anti- Gang Act, following intensified operations and intelligence-led exercises.
It stated that two others were also detained, facing charges for possession of narcotics and ammunition.
The release stated, “This marks a powerful step forward to curb the recent uptick in criminal activity on the sister isle.”
Theron Agard aka “H Man”, currently was charged with Being a Gang Leader, contrary to Section 5(1)(A) of the Anti-Gang Act, No. 4 of 2021. He was also charged with Conspiracy to rob.
Marcus Harvey aka “Banton” was charged with Being a Gang Member, contrary to Section 5(1)(A) of the Anti-Gang Act, No. 4 of 2021. He was also charged with Conspiracy to rob.
Meanwhile, Justin Junior Melville aka “Mad Dog” was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug, namely Cannabis, for the Purpose of Trafficking on August 9, 2024, at Hart Lane, Government House Road, Scarborough, in the Tobago Division.
And Okeen West was charged with Possession of 18 rounds of ammunition on Saturday at Hart Lane, Government House Road, Scarborough, in the Tobago Division.
