TWO more people have died from Covid-19 on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1,082) reported 754 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 151, 622 boosters have been administered while 50.8% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The two deaths included:
- 1 elderly woman; and
- 1 middle-aged woman.
All of whom had multiple comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovasular disease and kidney disease.

Total deaths by vaccination status as at May 4, 2022: 3, 183 (not fully vaccinated), 270 (fully vaccinated), 390 prior to the vaccination programme.
Patients in hospital: 193

Total persons not fully vaccinated: 688, 370
Boosters administered: 151, 622
Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,797 or 81.6%, while 3,343 or 18.4% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to May 4, 2022.

January: 535 deaths, 19, 650 cases
February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March: 122 deaths, 10,000 cases
April: 75 deaths, 9,622 cases
May 1: 2 deaths, 468 cases;
May 2: 2 deaths, 295 cases;
May 3: 5 deaths, 347 cases;
May 4: 5 deaths, 555 cases;
May 5: 2 deaths, 418 cases;
May 6: 0 deaths, 531 cases;
May 7: 2 deaths, 754 cases.
