POLICE have held two men for stealing cables belonging to the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT).
Officers of the Central Division responded to a report of larceny of TSTT cables in the Tabaquite area on Saturday and intercepted a silver Nissan AD wagon, with four suspects, in the Gran Couva district.
Two men managed to elude capture when the vehicle was stopped but two others were arrested.
A search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding a quantity of cables in the trunk, which were ascertained to be the property of TSTT.
The men, a 21-year-old of Laventille and a 28-year-old of Biche, were arrested in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
