TWO twenty-year-olds from Arima and a teenager from Gasparillo have been reported missing.
Police reported that the men from Arima were both last seen at their homes on Saturday and reported missing to the Arima Police Station by their relatives the same day.
Javon James, 23, was last seen at his Mausica Road, Arima home around 6.15 pm. James is of African descent, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a dark complexion and slim build with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a pink jersey and a pair of dark coloured pants.Yaseen Almarales, 22, was last seen at his Sherwood Park, Arima home around 3 pm. Almarales is of African descent, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a dark brown complexion and slim build with a corn row hairstyle. He also has a tattoo of a crescent moon and star on his upper left arm. Yaseen was last seen wearing a grey jersey and a pair of grey short pants.
And Saleem Thompson, 16 was last seen at his Caratal Road, Gasparillo home, around 8.30 am on Sunday. He was reported missing to the Gasparillo Police Station on Monday. Thompson is of mixed descent, 5 feet 3 inches tall, with a brown complexion and a slim build with a short corn row hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow armless t-shirt, a pair of blue short pants and a pair of black and white slippers.
Police also reported that 16-year-old Shania Applewhite of Bagatelle Road, San Juan, who was reported missing on December 11 has been found. She visited the Penal Police Station on Saturday and stated that she was in good health. Officers of the Child Protection Unit are continuing enquiries and the Children’s Authority was contacted. This was the second time Shania was reported missing. She was last reported missing in September 2020 and was subsequently found, police stated.
