TWO people have died due to Covid-19 on Saturday in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1,047) reported 266 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 146,079 boosters have been administered while 50.7% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The two deaths were elderly men both suffering from multiple comorbidities such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, neurological disease and renal disease.

Total deaths by vaccination status as at March 30, 2022: 3,096 (not fully vaccinated), 260 (fully vaccinated) and 390 prior to the vaccination programme.
Patients in hospital: 176

Boosters administered: 146, 079
Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,274 or 82.3%, while 3,065 or 17.7% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to March 30, 2022.
For the year 2022:
January: 535 deaths, 19, 650 cases
February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March: 122 deaths, 10,000 cases
April 1: 4 deaths, 299 Cases;
April 2: 2 deaths, 266 Cases.
