AS Covid-19 cases rise, the Ministry of Health is reactivating two step-down facilities.
This according to Minster of Health Terrence Deyalsingh at the Covid-19 press conference on Wednesday.
He said the Point Fortin Area Hospital with a bed capacity of 35 and the UTT Valsayn Campus with a capacity of 40 will be activated as Covid-19 step-down facilities to make space in the hospitals.
Delyalsingh said, “The re-activation of the two step-down facilities are ongoing and should be completed over the weekend into Monday.”
