Jagdeo’s body was found slumped in the front passenger seat of a Nissan AD Wagon car. Ramdass was discovered in the trunk of the vehicle that was still idling.
According to police, a package containing marijuana was found in the backseat.
Member of Parliament for Couva North Ravi Ratiram visited where the bodies were found and said he condemned the crime.
The reason for the murder has not yet been discovered as many question who would want the couple dead.
Ratiram, who personally knew the couple, asked how many more must die before Government and Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley seriously address the issue of crime.
“We have lost count of the number of murders. The question is how many more Prime Minister? How many more must die before you act, before you do something?” he asked.
Ratiram said almost every community has had to deal with murder as the homicides for the year has passed 550.
He said, “Something different has to happen and it has to start with the head.”
