New Seized Assets Advisory Committee Members Named

THE new Seized Assets Advisory Committee members  of the Ministry of National Security are officially named.

On Wednesday,  Minister of National Security Stuart Young  presented the members  with their Instruments of Appointment during a brief presentation ceremony  at the Ministry of National Security Head Office in Port of Spain.

In a press release on Thursday, the Ministry stated that Young spoke about the importance of the  role of the committee in national development, including areas of national security. He also thanked all members for providing continued service which they do in addition to their regular duties. Young also thanked outgoing committee members for their dedicated service during their tenure.

The Seized Assets Advisory Committee is a Cabinet-appointed Committee  and is appointed  to advise on the use of funds from the Seized Assets Fund, for community development, drug abuse treatment, rehabilitation projects and law enforcement.

The newly-appointed Committee members are: Chairman, Acting Deputy Comptroller of Accounts, Ministry of Finance Joycelyn Thomas-Vialmosa,  Research Officer II, Ministry of National Security Cheryl-Ann St Louis-Felix, Customs and Excise Collector, Ministry of Finance Riad Juman,  Coordinator, National Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Programme, Ministry of Health Lyra Thompson-Hollingsworth,  Supervisor I, Ministry of Sport and Community Development Lionel Sampson, Acting Superintendent of Police, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Ministry of National Security Wendell Lucas and  Head, Anti-Terrorism Unit, Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs Vyanna Sharma.
