NINE more persons have died from Covid-19 on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#984) also reported 1,081 additional new positive cases – the second-highest reported for a single day. On January 21, 1,259 news cases were reported.
The nine fatalities were the second time single-figure deaths were reported for the year. Eight deaths were recorded on January 22.
And more than 110,000 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago since the pandemic started.
It also stated that 109,684 boosters have been administered while 49.3% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
