IN the last 24 hours, ten persons have been arrested in two policing divisions for breach of Public Health Regulations including engaging in construction.
Police reported on Thursday that in the first incident, seven men were arrested and charged in Freeport for breach when they were allegedly observed performing construction duties.
All seven were granted station bail and are expected to appear at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on August 16 to answer the charges.
In the other incident, three men were arrested and charged in Barataria, Aranguez and El Socorro when they were found to be consuming alcohol in a public place.
The exercise in Freeport was coordinated by Snr Supt Curt Simon, Supt Pierre, Insp Ramsumair, and supervised by Cpl. Umaid, while the exercise in the North Eastern Division was coordinated by Ag.Insp Daniel and supervised by Ag.Sgt Murray and Ag.Sgt Pierre.
And the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service continues to urge citizens to adhere to the Emergency Powers and Public Health Regulations.
